Biography and previous work

Previously I have obtained a BSc in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Sheffield, where I carried out a research project investigating the role of the receptor C5a2 in the signalling of the complement system protein C5a under the supervision of Dr Peter Monk

Current Work

I am a Masters student studying for an MSc in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine. My research project, as part of the Natural Materials Group, is investigating the molecular weight of the Fibroin and Sericin proteins found in Bombyx mori silk primarily using SDS-PAGE.

Personal interests

Outside of my studies, my interests include trampolining, reading and science communication.
