Biography and previous work
I was born in Brno, Czech Republic. I completed my secondary education in 2009. From 2009-2012 I studied for a Bachelor's degree at in the Department of Materials Chemistry, part of the faculty of Chemisty at Brno University of Technology. I continued with a Master's degree focused on biomaterials and polymers in the same department. In 2013 I participated in an Erasmus study programme at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, for one semester. I started my PhD research in September 2014 in Prof. Josef Jancar's Advanced Materials group at the Central European Institute of Technology in Brno. Since September 2015 I have been a an Erasmus intern in the Natural Materials Group within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
Current Work
My PhD research deals with polysaccharide hydrogels for soft tissue regeneration. In Sheffield I am focusing on hydrogels modified with Silk Fibroin and their characterisation especially by rheology.
Personal interests
I like theatre, dancing and travelling.
